During the Christmas season I do a lot of baking, eating baked goods, and then napping after eating baked goods. I very much believe that all baked goods come out tastier when made in the company of someone you love, this year I was joined by my very beautiful baby sister Becca. My favorite treat to bake and decorate has always been the classic sugar cookie. From cookie cuter shapes to frosting, sprinkles and edible glitter (Yes, it is totally a thing!) there are just so many options for creativity. This year my sister Becca and I decided to push our cookie decorating skills to the next level, friends I present to you: “Who Wore it Best” Christmas Cookie Edition.
You know how this works, it is just like in the celebrity gossip magazines, two cookies show up at an event in a similar outfit and you have to decide who wore it best. First thing first though, we needed a good dough to start with and Martha Stewart’s recipe never disappoints.
Next it was time for cutting out the models. We rolled the dough to 1/8″ thick and ended up with about 30 cookies.
Then it was time to get serious about decorating, we had all the best tools of the trade.
After an hour of giggling, sprinkling and a little trash talking we were ready to present our cookie models for judging. We want you to weigh in on who wore it best in the comments, and hear what you love about the outfits. We had such a fun time creating them, we hope they make you smile too!
